Explore the issues central to painting and the function of developing one’s own creative voice. Come explore your passion, your inspiration, and ideas through process and use language to give voice to your vision. Innovate: Drawing and Composition – A 2-day drawing workshop

Explore drawing skills needed to excel at compositional techniques used by artists. Students learn basic drawing methods that allow for differences in style, that cover a variety of objects and allow students to draw anything they may encounter in reference photographs or out in the world.  We will explore: Boxes as benchmarks, Drawing and Design Basics, Scaling objects, Plants and Rocks, and Beach and Marsh landscapes.

Innovate: Experience the Impact of Texture 2024 – A robust 3-day painting workshop

Immerse yourself into color, texture, and abstraction with Internationally known Carolina Artist Gallery Resident Artist, Liz Morton.  Liz is a wildly creative innovator and has developed a range of techniques to create organic imaginings and transparent views in painting.  She will demonstrate and guide you to use techniques she has developed that incorporate a diverse range of materials highlighting the impact of texture.  Students who have a desire to find their own personal voice in an abstract manner, will find many opportunities to flourish in this robust workshop.
